Explore the Atherton Tablelands, or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings in your exclusive, pleasantly appointed accommodation at Tinaroo Haven Holiday Lodge which offers all the comforts of home!
Tinaroo Haven Holiday Lodge is located in the Cairns hinterland known as The Atherton Tablelands, just over an hours drive from Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, Australia, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
We are situated 200 metres from lake Tinaroo, an area famed for all year round Barramundi fishing as well as water sports. Although we are situated 200 metres from the lake, views of the lake have been obscured by the forest growth which surrounds the property. The nearest boat ramp is approximately 1km (drive) from the property.
Tinaroo Haven Holiday lodge is centrally located and consists of a high level pole house (Al’s look-out) and a timber home (Percy’s Hide-Away). The two houses, although next door to each other, are separated by a covered walkway and each have their own private entrances, verandahs and entertainment areas. The property has been designed to provide views of the surrounding mountains, and is hidden away in a secluded area of 2.5 acres of native bushland. The accommodation is fully self contained with all amenities and is suitable for single families, couples or large groups.

Directions from Atherton:
- After you arrive in Atherton, go through the roundabout & up past McDonalds Restaurant, drive down the Main Street through the shopping centre, until you get to the roundabout at the RSL (on your right). Turn Right here, up the hill past Woolworths shopping Centre and go to the 'T' intersection at the top of the hill, where you turn left. Follow the road around, past the High School until you reach the Kairi turnoff and take this road to the Dam.
- Follow this road to Kairi; go past the Kairi Hotel and store. After you pass the school the road continues around to the left and is signposted to Tinaroo Dam. This is the start of a long straight.
- Proceed about 2.5 km along that straight. When you reach the top of the hill at the end of the straight, turn right into Malcolm Road. Off Malcolm Road, you will find Bluewater Drive; turn left into Blue Water Drive. Towards the bottom of Bluewater Drive you will see, Wavell Drive. Turn left into Wavell Drive. Tinaroo Haven Holiday Lodge’s driveway is straight in front of you at the end of Wavell Drive – Number 42.
- When you have entered the main gates, proceed straight up the driveway. If you are staying at Percy’s hid-away turn left into the first driveway and park your vehicle alongside the house or alternatively under the carport outside the back door. If you are staying at Al’s look-out drive past the first driveway and park under or in front of the pole home.
- If you are arriving late at night, please take care for wallabies when you enter Malcolm Road as this area is their “playing field” at night.
